Community Spirit at the Larkfield Open Day

Larkfield Housing Association brought the local community together on Friday 17 October for an afternoon of socialising, sandwiches, and singing, alongside opportunities to connect with local advice services and community partners.

With bingo, live music and a raffle, together with face painting and art stations for younger residents, the intergenerational event was one of many we host throughout the year.

Lynne Griffin, Area Manager at Larkfield, said: "We're a tight-knit and engaged community here in Larkfield, and we're fortunate to have a community space to come together at the Larkfield Community Hall. An Open Day like this lets us introduce our tenants and local residents to partners who can provide useful advice and support, but most importantly it's an opportunity to check in with one another and have a chat over a cup of tea."

Attending partner organisations included Inverclyde Energy Advice Service, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Financial Fitness, NHS Child Smile & Breastfeeding Support, Your Voice, and local social enterprise, Crafting Together.

A special thank you to Aires & Graces who provided live music on the day and to all the local businesses and partners for their kind donations to our prize draw.

Events like this are a key part of our commitment to supporting residents beyond housing, building strong relationships and promoting community wellbeing throughout the year.

Larkfield tenants and residents can find out more about upcoming events and opportunities on the Larkfield Housing Association Facebook page.
