How we deal with anti-social behaviour

We take complaints about anti-social behaviour seriously and will always do everything we can to tackle any issues you may have.

We will:

  • Respond to complaints promptly
  • Promote mediation as a means of resolving neighbour disputes
  • Always offer to visit the home of the complainant
  • Listen sympathetically to all tenants and will not prejudge or make assumptions
  • Advise tenants of the actions they can take in response to anti-social behaviour.

 

How we categorise anti-social behaviour

Once we have received your complaint we will put it into one of three categories which determines how long we have to respond.

Category A

Category A complaints are of a very serious anti-social nature - including assault, drug dealing, racial harassment.

We aim to respond within one working day.

Category B

Category B complaints are those which indicate serious anti-social behaviour including excessive noise and verbal abuse.

We aim to respond within five working days.

Category C

Category C complaints are those where neighbours clearly breach the tenancy but are of a relatively minor nature including stair cleaning issues or occasional noise.

We aim to respond within five working days.
